Tidja joins us most recently from Ashurst where she was a Senior Associate specialising in technology contract negotiations, privacy advice for novel technologies (including facial recognition software and bitcoin platforms) and data breaches. At the Victorian Bar, Tidja will be practising in intellectual property law, privacy law and technology and data-related disputes.

William joins us most recently from the Victorian Court of Appeal where he was Associate to the Honourable Justice Orr, the Honourable Justice Whelan and the Honourable Justice Forrest. William was awarded the Sir John Monash Scholarship for Excellence to study law at Monash University where he won the Ian Fletcher International Insolvency Law Moot, the Hugo Law Group Criminal Law Moot, the Monash University Law Students’ Society moot (twice) and was awarded the Sir Charles Lowe Moot Prize for Best Senior Advocate. At the Victorian Bar, William will practise in all areas of commercial law, public law and common law.

Katie joins us most recently from Allens where she acted on regulatory investigations and conducted complex commercial litigation involving tax, construction, insolvency and employment law. Most recently at Allens, she specialised in the role of Counsel, advising on and conducting whistleblower and workplace investigations for leading corporations, government and tertiary institutions. Prior to that she was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Sloss at the Supreme Court of Victoria. At the Victorian Bar, Katie will be practising in commercial law, public law, employment law and workplace investigations.

Maxine joins us most recently from the Victorian Ambulance Union Incorporated where she led a team of five lawyers specialising in discrimination law and employment and industrial law. Prior to that she was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Bromberg at the Federal Court of Australia. Maxine commenced her legal career at the Commonwealth Attorney-General’s Department. At the Victorian Bar, Maxine will be practising in discrimination law, employment and industrial law and public law.

Jack joins us most recently from Phi Finney McDonald where he was a Special Counsel specialising in complex class actions and large-scale litigation. At the Victorian Bar, Jack will be practising in competition law, consumer law, class actions, employment and industrial law, discrimination law, tort and contract and financial advice disputes. Jack will also be accepting briefs in administrative law and commissions and inquiries.

Patrick joins us most recently from the Australian Government Solicitor where he advised in areas including competition, consumer credit, corporations, taxation, privacy and foreign acquisitions law. Prior to that he was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Hespe at the Federal Court of Australia. Patrick commenced his legal career in the Commercial Disputes team at Allens. At the Victorian Bar, Patrick will be practising in commercial and public law, with an emphasis on competition and consumer, regulatory litigation, taxation, corporations and financial services law.

Jarrad joins us most recently from the Commercial Litigation Group at Clayton Utz where he practised in a broad range of commercial and regulatory disputes and investigations. In particular, proceedings concerning financial services and consumer credit. Jarrad also has experience in public law matters. At the Victorian Bar, Jarrad will be practising in public law, regulatory proceedings and all areas of commercial litigation.

Dan joins us most recently from the tax group at Herbert Smith Freehills, where he advised on state and federal taxes. His particular expertise includes employment taxes for domestic and international employers, stamp duty and tax aspects of restructures and acquisitions. Prior to that he was an Associate to the Honourable Justice Almond at the Supreme Court of Victoria. At the Victorian Bar, Dan will specialise in tax and revenue law and more broadly in public law and general commercial law.
