List G Barristers warmly welcomes The Honourable Michael Black AC QC, who has joined the List following his retirement from the Federal Court of Australia.
The Hon Michael Black AC QC commenced practice at the Victorian Bar in 1964 and was appointed Queen’s Counsel in 1980. As Queen’s Counsel, he specialised in appellate work before the High Court of Australia and other appellate courts, and in the fields of constitutional, commercial and industrial law.
In 1991, The Hon Michael Black AC QC was appointed Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia, a position which he held for 19 years, until his retirement from the Court in March 2010.
The Hon Michael Black AC QC is available to act as a mediator and arbitrator in a broad range of commercial matters.
