Prior to joining the Bar, William was the Associate to the Honourable Justices Orr, Whelan and J Forrest at the Victorian Court of Appeal. There he worked on a range of commercial, public law and common law matters, including extensively on Viterra Malt Pty Ltd v Cargill Australia Ltd [2023] VSCA 157.
William holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Monash University, where he won the Sir Charles Lowe Moot Prize and three subject prizes. He was also granted a stipend to observe the UNCITRAL Working Group V on Insolvency Law in Vienna. While studying, William worked as a research assistant to the Dean of the Law Faculty, Professor Bryan Horrigan.
William is reading with Kane Loxley, and his senior mentor is Philip Solomon KC.
