Carla Aumann has a broad commercial practice with a focus on construction and infrastructure disputes.

Carla has a commercial practice specialising in disputes arising in the context of infrastructure, construction & engineering, transport, energy and resources projects.  She comes to the Bar with a broad range of litigation experience including commercial, administrative and public law matters.

Prior to joining the Bar, Carla was an Executive Counsel in the Construction & Infrastructure Disputes team at Herbert Smith Freehills. She acted for principals, project companies and contractors in litigation (trial and appellate), domestic and international arbitration, expert determination (including bespoke expert processes), mediation and adjudication.

Carla holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from the University of Melbourne.

Carla is reading with Brian Mason and her senior mentor is David Batt KC.
